Liven up your events and delight your audiences

I have been covering events with graphic recording for over 10 years. My expertise lies in translating complex ideas into accessible visuals and bringing joy to even the driest of topics. I have drawn live at conferences, workshops, innovation camps, staff training days and my visual summaries are known for capturing the right key points with structured and creative images.

How does graphic recording work?

I combine active listening, visual thinking and drawing skills to translate ideas into illustrations at a fast pace. I pay attention to what points resonate with the speaker and the participants and focus on drawing those details. The audience gets to see the visual build up during the event and people can refresh their memory of what has been said.

What you get:

  • A 30-minute set up call to go through the details

  • An experienced, empathic visual translator

  • Exciting live illustrations that helps people network and catches attention on social media

  • Digital, high resolution image files after the event

  • A “common sense” image license for fair sharing

You can display print-outs of the visual in your office or at future events and use the digital files in presentations, reports, newsletters and on social media - whenever you want to talk about how brilliant your event was!

My packages start from £550 for half day, local events and £850 for full day events with expenses on top.

How can I use graphic recording?

Graphic recording can help:

  • make abstract concepts easier to understand

  • retain information better

  • spark conversations

  • generate ideas

It can be adapted to different events and experiences:

  • presentations and panel discussions

  • brainstorming ideas and capturing insights

  • breakout groups and feedback

I can tailor the approach accordingly, working either on a large sheet of paper or creating a pop up gallery of illustrations on boards. I’m always open to exploring different ways of working so don’t hesitate to suggest ideas.

My approach to graphic recording

Over the years I’ve had the pleasure of working with different clients at various venues and I’ve tried and tested what works best and what doesn’t. I can do my best work when an event is planned with wellbeing in mind and organised clearly: everyone needs regular breaks and enough time to present or get their voices heard. I can scribe very quickly but I find that the best quality work emerges from capturing the “golden nuggets” that act as powerful memory hooks for the other content. So I capture less detail to allow for meaningful visuals and breathing space for them.

Based in Cardiff, UK, I can travel across the UK and Europe to your event location. While I can happily cover a conference all by myself I also have access to a pool of brilliant illustrators and scribes who I can bring along to bigger events.
