Manifesto for activist music research
The newly formed Suoni ry., an independent research association practising societal and action-oriented music research, wanted a series of editorial illustrations for their first publication. My brief was to lighten up the academic texts and illuminate key themes.
I created a cover representing the themes and a sense of how arts research can highlight different societal issues. Other illustrations shaped into a mix of abstract ideas and depicted scenarios. The publication was printed in Finnish and Swedish for the launch of the association.
