Values and sustainability
TRANSPARENCY
I hold a high standard for clear communication and honesty. I always aim to ask questions to understand things better and improve my work.
PURPOSE
I draw illustrations that work and support clients with a vision for a just, better world.
FUN
I bring a bit of joy to topics and highlight the human connections that delight people.
Sustainability and diversity
I use refillable, non toxic marker pens and wood free paper for live gigs and recycle any leftover paper
Working digitally means I don’t use as much paper or disposable drawing equipment
I use public transport for gigs, cycle to studio and avoid flights wherever possible
I contribute to social and environmental projects by volunteering locally and doing the occasional community project at a reduced rate
I choose clients who promote social and environmental justice, are finding ways to improve lives or tackle climate change. I say no to companies that actively destroy the environment, promote hostility toward any minority group, migrants or refugees
I continue to educate myself and attend training courses on diversity, representation and inclusivity to make sure I can make appropriate choices when drawing people and discussing these topics with clients. I pass on work to those with lived experience when a project calls for it and it is appropriate.
