Tate: Logistics 4.0

Online workshop digital scribing

Tate Galleries commissioned me to be their live digital scribe during workshops on innovation and logistics of artworks in different scenarios as part of a collaborative research project. Their multidisciplinary online workshop included presentations, breakout groups and free discussion which presented a busy day of drawing for me.

I drew the presentations and free discussion live and used extra studio time to create visual summaries of the breakout group feedback. Replacing my Zoom video with the iPad illustration screen meant that the visuals could be pinned and highlighted during breaks and discussion when appropriate.

You can read more about the project on the Tate website.

Here’s what the client had to say:

“Laura grasped the concepts so quickly it was hard to believe she hadn't been part of the team from day one. Above and beyond being ‘just’ a record of our workshops, the clarity and succinctness of Laura’s visual summaries have actively helped the project team to unpack sometimes complex concepts, and have also greatly aided us in articulating the project to colleagues, funders and the public. The images are inclusive, lively and humorous and Laura is friendly, professional, and pro-active in making suggestions and offering solutions.”
